Every TouchBistro POS Service Under One Roof
Certified TouchBistro POS partners and POS experts handling hardware, setup, API based custom development, marketing and everything in between.
Because TouchBistro runs on iPads, many owners assume the hardware side is simple. Then opening week arrives, the Wi-Fi drops mid-rush, tickets print at the wrong station, and the handheld a server carries to the patio loses signal at table twelve. Getting TouchBistro POS equipment right is a planning exercise, not a shopping trip. As a Certified TouchBistro Partner, Mindshare Consulting designs, supplies, installs, and configures the complete hardware footprint for restaurants, from front-counter iPad stations and tableside devices to kitchen display screens, printers, and the network that holds it all together. We match your TouchBistro POS equipment to your floor plan, your menu, and the way your team actually moves during service, so every device earns its place from the first shift.
Why an iPad POS Still Deserves a Professional Install
TouchBistro was built for restaurants, with tableside ordering, floor plan and table management, menu management, staff management, and reporting in the core product. But those features only perform as well as the hardware and network underneath them. An iPad station mounted where servers cannot reach it, a kitchen display placed in the glare of the heat lamps, or a router shared with the guest Wi-Fi will make even a well-designed system feel unreliable.
Stability is where preparation matters most. Some operators report app crashes and slow responses from vendor support, and in our experience a large share of that pain traces back to weak networking and improvised installs. A properly specced local network, sensible device placement, and a partner who answers the phone turn those risks into non-events.

- Kitchen display system installation using TouchBistro's KDS add-on, positioned for the way your line reads tickets

A Platform Worth Building On
The software side is straightforward. TouchBistro bundles start at $69 per month, and the platform grows through modular add-ons including Payments, a kitchen display system, Inventory Management, Labor Management, Gift Cards, Reservations, and Profit Management, so your hardware plan should anticipate where you are headed, not just where you are today. If the KDS is likely within a year, we wire for it now. You can review the platform's own overview at touchbistro.com, and we will tell you plainly which pieces your concept needs and which it does not.
Get the physical side of your restaurant right the first time. Start with TouchBistro setup and support, keep the system tuned with TouchBistro POS management, and put the installed base to work with TouchBistro online ordering. Frequently Asked Questions
At minimum, an iPad station at the point of order, a printer or kitchen display for the kitchen, payment hardware, and a reliable network. Full-service rooms usually add tableside devices so servers can order and close checks at the table.
Often yes. TouchBistro is iPad based, so we audit your existing devices, confirm they are suitable, and only recommend replacements where age or condition would undermine reliability during service.
High-volume lines and multi-station kitchens usually benefit from TouchBistro's KDS add-on, while smaller kitchens often run happily on printers. Many of our installs combine both, with a display on the main line and printers at expo or the bar.
Tableside ordering runs on iPads, so servers carry a device that fires orders straight to the kitchen and takes payment at the table. We configure the devices, the floor plan, and the coverage so the experience holds up across the whole room.
Yes, and we consider it the most important part of the install. Because the system depends on a healthy local network, we design the wiring, router placement, and Wi-Fi coverage before a single station is mounted.
TouchBistro software bundles start at $69 per month, with modular add-ons priced on top depending on what you enable. Hardware is a one-time investment that depends on your station count, which is exactly what our planning process pins down.
TouchBistro runs on most modern iPads but does not support the oldest generations, such as the original iPad, iPad 2, third and fourth generation models, and the first Mini. A baseline setup includes iPads, stands, a supported router, card readers, and receipt printers. Mindshare specs compatible hardware for your floor plan so nothing arrives that cannot run the software.
TouchBistro is picky about networking and publishes a supported router list, historically centered on AmpliFi HD mesh hardware, with mesh points added for larger venues. An unsupported or poorly placed router is behind many mid service disconnects. Mindshare designs and installs the network to TouchBistro's specs so terminals, printers, and KDS stay connected through a full service.
In larger multi terminal configurations TouchBistro has required a dedicated local server, historically a Mac Mini for venues running more than six iPads. Smaller venues run without one. Mindshare scopes your station count, decides whether server hardware is needed, and handles installation so the system is sized correctly from day one.
